Perfectly Pink*******

This winter weather is such a drag but that doesn't mean fashion and style has to be frozen!
 I completely wanted to let go of that concept and this #ootd does the trick!
I will say this is slowly becoming a memorable look for me and may just become one of my favorites for kicking off the year!
2015 is all about switching things up and for me that means being brighter!
Usually I play it  safe and go for more neutral tones and shades but not today!

Without further delay here it is!
Here I have on a fun asymmetrical off white with a pink hue blazer from DressBarn. I love everything about this blazer because the shape just gives any simple outfit "LIFE"!!!

You can make the simplest outfit look chic with this blazer so may a note to get one for your wardrobe. 









You can find similar styles at  H&M . Underneath I have on the most amazing pink crop top! This mesh flower crop top is from Marshall's . This Top is just way too cute1 Yes, I agree crop tops are for the summer but with the right accessories like this blazer I think it can be pulled off for a date night!

I paired it with Jeans from JCPenney . I love their skinny jeans because they give the absolute perfect fit!
My accessories are just the best! This pink floral necklace is one of my favorite pieces from Avon .
My platform pink pumps are also a classic choice for this look because of how it compliments the crop top and necklace!

I love this outfit for a day out to the mall or a lunch date with ladies!

Polka Dot Spotted***

Here we are in the new year and I am committed even more to stepping into the "REAL" me!


I have decided to stick to my new coined phrase of being the "simply chic" blogger. For some time I have been searching for what my niche is but the entire time I already had one! 

My style is simple and chic and for me it comes effortlessly. This year it's all about sticking to my truth and watching my growth.
As I step into this new year here is the official first OOTD that I am excited to share.


Here I have on a black and off white polka dot blouse from DressBarn . I have always had a soft spot for polka dots. Most people don't like them because they claim it makes you look unflattering. 







I believe polka dots are fun and if paired with another pattern it could actually make you look smaller!
I have paired this with one of my favorite black tuxedo jacket from Loft .

This jacket is sleek and sophisticated! I love the entire feel and elegance this adds to any outfit!
I also have on these off white tailored pants that are also from DressBarn! 
These slacks are comfortable and sleek. This tailored fit keeps this look crisp and simple yet elegant. You can definitely go to the office or a day party in an outfit like this.
If you must go to work why not be fashionable about it I always say!
Since I have decided to go for this all classic look I added some classic  black suede stilettos from Prima Donna .


 As for my accessories I try to keep it simple with one of my favorite pieces a white 5 tiered statement necklace. This falls perfectly in the sweetheart neckline!
This year I would like to reiterate the importance the less is in fact more. You don't have to try so hard to be like the "bad chicks" with the long hair and over the top everything. Having a sleek look that's timeless now that to me is everything!

 I love to mix different products once you get a handle on how they work.
One of my favorite things to do is mix my foundations. I like to mix the SheaMoisture and L'oreal true Match because it give me better coverage and a smooth finish.
 For me I have my usual go to that I stick with but don't be afraid to try something new just once because you never know it may just become your new favorite thing!

Holidays done Simply**

As we come to the close of another amazing year I am grateful for the exciting street style statements on the rise especially during this season.
I am all about how to keep fashion simply chic and elegant at all times, and for the holiday it should be no different!
Most people go the extravagant route for the holidays with the over the top and grand accessories. That of all which I love but how do you approach the day to day route during this reason in a fashion forward way!
Fashion is only dictated to us four times a year. Style on the other hand is something you just have to have!
Don't worry I am here to show you how it's done!

Here is my OOTD and I hope it inspires you.
Today I have on one of my favorite colors electric blue!  

 My blouse is electric blue with draw button sleeves from Marshall's . This shirt is sheer and gorgeous for going out or being casual. I am all about styles that are versatile and can open up your wardrobe. 

I added a black vest with a blue and white pin stripe from one of my favorite boutiques but you can get something similar to this at DressBarn .
This vest has a very vintage yet masculine feel which I love because sometimes a men's cut statement piece can give you outfit an entire different depth it didn't have before.
My suggestion is be open to masculine piece in your wardrobe from time to time they make great accessories and create an edgy feel.

My new favorite piece that I have is my faux feather skirt from Joe Fresh . I absolutely have fallen head over heels for this piece. It's cute, chic, and most importantly FUNCTIONAL!!!!!! This skirt has pockets! I love fashion that is  simply chic and practical. 
That is my signature , looking good with a purpose. To me more over that was money well spent. On to my fabulous accessories! 






I have on some electric blue and gold heels  Platforms are
great and they give you extra support. My bag is an electric blue top handle tote from Kenneth Cole .

Stylish in the Winter***

Now that December is in full swing, I know that most ladies are always in such disarray as to what you should wear for a night on the town. 

 Lately, I have been going through my wardrobe to give some insight to this issue. This weather is not the easiest to get dressed for, but why let the seasonal changes disrupt your own personal fashion show. 

 Today I have a simple outfit that can solve this problem just to give you an idea as to what I would wear. Without further delay my date night look would be something like this!

Here is the OOTD.
Today I have on a Tiffany blue braided v- neck sweater from JCPenney . I love this sweater because it is an absolute classic and great for this season. 
You can wear it to be casual or dress it up like I have here. The key for me is to be classy and cute but during this time of year if I'm out , I want to be warm!
I have this gorgeous sweater tucked into this tribal water color pencil skirt from Burlington Coat Factory . 




I love this skirt it is extremely comfortable which is always a plus. Also this skirt is 80 percent cotton so it is super plush and soft. What I do love the most is that this skirt holds it form.
My ruby red shoes are a classic look .
You could also get these with the pointed toe which I also like but either way it is up to you both looks will be sassy and classy!
My clutch is red snake skin with a silver plated front line at the edge this I got a vintage boutique but you can get clutches like these at Target or at Steve Madden .
 My makeup is from Shea Moisture . I love this line and it's amazing for everyday wear! Get your favorite makeup pieces now or for someone special this holiday!

60's Inspired

Today I would like to do something really special and step out of my element a little bit. I love the over the top glam look, but what if I tone it down and go for a more mod look.
Fashion is taking a bit of a spin this time around and it is all about the '60's Inspired Fashion Trends that are taking the world by storm.
I figured why let everyone else have all the fun.I.m going to join in and add my own personal touch.
Without further delay here is the OOTD!


 Today I have on a graphic pencil skirt by Worthington at JCPenney.
This skirt absolutely perfect for getting that professional look with ease and comfort. This is a great pick that can go for a day in the office or an afternoon brunch!




I paired this with a grey peasant collar cape from Marshalls . Capes are an amazing accessory to add to any outfit this season to give it that chic cohesive look which unifies the entire outfit.
On the inside layer I have on a black seamless turtle neck from DressBarn .





This turtleneck blouse is comfortable and keeps you warm during this winter season which makes this the perfect inside layering.
As for my shoes I have on some mod century pumps from Payless .

 Accessories are a definite when it comes to the '60's Inspiration! Here I have on square black shimmer studs. I also have on a geometric black bracelet from H&M  and a 3D Ring from a vintage boutique.

 Through out this beauty journey I have stuck it out with SheaMoisture makeup and I must say that I love this line. You can achieve this look with all products from SheaMoisture. This company is definitely dedicated to creating A BETTER WAY TO BEAUTIFUL!

Burgundy & Luxe Faux Fur

Everyday  in style is something new and today is no different. I woke up with the intention of channeling a warm luxurious look that would be manageable for the everyday working girl. Why cant you be fabulous and fierce on the job? After all working in the fashion industry it calls for you to look the part from head to toe.
Once I understood that, I had to "turn up" on my everyday wardrobe!
Today not only did I want a luxurious look but I wanted to add some warmth with a pop of color.
Without further delay here is the #OOTD
Here I have on a classic denim mid sleeve shirt from Burlington Coat Factory .


 This denim shirt is light weight and extremely comfortable. As for most denim shirts they are stiff, but this one is loose and great for down time or dressing up.
I paired this denim shirt with a vintage faux fur and suede vest from a vintage boutique. 
You can find one like this at H &M, JCPenney, and Amazon.
To add some warmth through color I added my burgundy skinny leg jeans. I have a soft spot for  rich colors so this was a definite win !
You can great colored denim like this at Old Navy .
These fabulous shoes are from Payless . I love the texture and diversity that these shoes offer!
Always get a pair of shoes that are statement shoes so you can stand out in the crowd.


 The accessories are very simple, I have this gold and rust string necklace  to bring out the golden hues in this look!

 As I continue on my beauty journey I am sticking with my favorite line.

 All of my makeup for today is from 
SheaMoisture Cosmetics. I used the Sheer Liquid Foundation.
Also I have  the Conouring Kit.
These products are fab for everyday wear and it doesn't clog your pores. These are a definite buy!
