If you have been in the NYC area you already know how cold this winter has been!

In film this night is the ultimate make or break for award season. This night is all about the best of the best showing the star power they have ! I bet you want to know who killed it and I am here to share with you my absolute favorites!

Every one of these women have knocked it out of the water with these stunning gowns. Most importantly we must not forget all the fashion politics that goes into these major fashion moments. I applaud the fabulous choices and I encourage the fierce bombshells to keep bringing it for every red carpet from here on out!

As you have noticed this winter just will not go out quietly! 

Lately we have been having extremely cold nights and occasional snow through out the week! 

#OOTD to help you through these types of situations. 

You always want to look simply chic, as if you didn't put too much effort into your outfit. Just let the look flow! With this look,  I can help you achieve this kind of flow in your in your daily look.  
Here I am 

seen in a cozy blue and neutral, light faux fur Aztec print sweater from Macy's. This sweater is all about the simply chic look, but  more importantly it's also functional.


 This cotton sweater is far from the itchy sweater your grandmother would make for the holidays! This piece is completely full of comfort and warmth which is the best combination for the winter weather.



The Aztec pattern draws your eye from the simple light blue color and creates a hunt of drama. An excellent piece to have in your wardrobe!

Underneath I have on a simple denim shirt which adds layers to the outfit. I love this combination because the different shades of blue and texture creates a rustic yet chic look.
To top this look off I have on a pair of blue skinny jeans from JCPenney. 

They always have jeans that are a perfect fit, even though I'm short and curvy I always find a great pair of classic jeans from here no matter what! 

Next time your near a JCPenney make sure you stop by and grab a pair!

Accessories are a must at all times! Here I have on a pair of champagne iridescent sling back heels. 



You can find similar styles at Burlington Coat Factory or Call it Spring. I also have on a golden chain necklace from H&M to give this simply chic look a little bit of glam! 

Oh, let's not forget this gorgeous clutch from New York & Company

You can  achieve this look with ease as I  leave the outfit details below! Here it is the outfit you have been waiting for. 

As seen, I have on a warm burgundy and and faux leather sleeve sweater from JCPenney. 

This sweater was a definite eye catcher I love the faux leather sleeves because they are an edgy surprise.

It's warm enough to keep you comfortable during these cold nights out and you still look simply chic.
Also, another huge turn on for this piece is texture.
Texture adds that something extra because of the layering.

I paired this with a simple black turtleneck from DressBarn. 

This is one of my favorite basics to keep I have a few because they were on sale. 

When you find a perfect basic grab extra you never know when you will find them on a great sale!

I added some slimming fleece lined leggings you can find similar ones at H&M or from Target. These are a perfect option to be simple and warm for these winter nights and you want to step out looking edgy.

What I adore about these leggings are you can dress them up or down it doesn't matter because they are flattering either way.

Now let me break down these accessories! 

Here I have on a heavy scale plated statement necklace that is silver and black.

I found this in a  vintage boutique but you can find similar statement pieces in Prima Donna or at Ashley Stewart. 

My black ankle booties are Kardashian Kollection .

 I love these booties they are absolutely fabulous and chic as their other pieces I must say I was pleasantly surprised! 

This out is a definite simply chic look that I ways strive for. You can wear this outfit for date night because it's edgy and sexy without being over the top. 

In this case this is one of my birthday outfits!!!!

This gown is life! Literally the beautiful rich purple floral arrangement in the bust and the cascading flowers going into the draping white is stunning! This gown is crisp and a breathe of fresh air for Lupita. This is a definite win all the way around because of the gorgeous texture element of femininity.

      4. Kerry Washington in Mary Katrantzou

Kerry always amazes us with her choices. This red carpet look is so chic and beautiful because of the beautiful color blocking and attention to detailed texture. This sweetheart neckline accentuates her amazing bone structure. The off the shoulder cap sleeves are timeless and such a perfect fit for her. Love this look classy women everywhere take note!

Every woman must have her sparkle! Ms.. Moore has all sparkle in this gorgeous gown. This is so classy chic especially because sequins is all the rave right now! This halter top is a simple way to go being that the sequins has to take center stage here. Then the sequins begins to go into its ombre coloring. which I love because of the drama that it brings. The fit and flare bottom with the darker feathering is so amazing and feminine  with it's roaring 20's inspiration!

This is my absolute favorite of the entire night! This dress is everything all wrapped into one and there is no other that could compete! The plunge neckline and high front split is daring and sexy. All the while the long flowing drapery sleeves bring the romantic drama to another level. The entire dress is full of rich texture and bejeweled crystals throughout which created a beautiful asymmetrical detailing that couldn't be compared! J.lo has given everyone a show stopping moment to remember! Everyone take notes because this diva is serving all day everyday!
