Let Your Style Flow

I know it has been a while since the last post but I will  mention that in that time I have been working on some other things that I want to produce .
Since then, I was gaining some "gems" from my mentors and I realized how much it relayed to style I thought I would share some with you!

New Fall Favorite

The fall season is all about layering and accessories.
Well this fall I think I found my new favorite!
It's all about these black sunglasses! Yes shades in the fall are one of my favorite things, and these new babies are the ones to beat!
I bought these black polygon frames from Exclusive Eyeswear at Circle of Sisters event last weekend. 
Lately I have been testing them out to see how much I Love them.
As a result I cannot get enough of them.
Celebrities and socialites alike have been wearing shades like these all over and I think you should join the trend too!

Circle of Sisters 2015

You already know that I can't let a event like Circle of Sisters go by without me passing through.
Many people were out and about looking to see all the celebrities and dance competitions but some were actually there for the speakers and the wisdom they had to share.
I was there for some "gems" of knowledge and if course catch the fashion show!
Let's start with brunch !
First stop to The Sweet and Savory Cafè for brunch!
This is a great way to start a casual Sunday ! 
I had The Chicken and Waffle Kabob and Chai Latté .
If you are ever on Long Island make it your business to stop by!
Next let's go to my outfit details .
Here I'm seen wearing a denim on denim look to keep things casual and cute.
I have on my denim button  down shirt from Burlington Coat Factory.
I decided to pair this with my DIY distressed denim from Old Navy.
To add a splash of color I added a rustic orange cardigan from Marshall's.
This outfit is trendy and rustic which is a fabulous idea for fall street style.
As I went around in the convention I saw that African prints are still a very big deal.
Also fur vest and jackets are a popular  fall come back so keep this in mind when shopping for your fall must haves.
Statement necklaces are getting bigger and bigger as well as seen here .
Of course the experience wouldn't be complete without running into some big names, like Kim Kimble for example.
Just another walk through as usual.
The main reason I pass through is for the fashion show, so check out some clips from the styles that hit the runway this year!

I had so much fun although I will say that I didn't have as much fun as last year.
Every year they try something different but the set up wasn't my favorite.
Maybe next year!
Besides the ups and downs of the day, I ended it by passing the most beautiful fountains on the way home.
NYC is such an amazing experience.
There is just nothing like it!

Welcoming Fall....

I for one was absolutely not ready for fall! 
I love the warm weather, so my sudden love affair has come to an end and I am not exactly the happiest lady having to start adding layers to my outfit. None the less I keep smiling because styling and blogging is just what I LOVE to do!

On the other hand I am glad to keep it casual chic as usual and something fresh!
Here is my cool laid back fall OOTD!
As seen here I have on a tangerine and grey stripe basic t-shirt from Old Navy. They are such a fabulous choice for comfort basics all season long! My purple button down cardigan sweater is also from Old Navy.
Bright colors are a favorite of mine as you probably noticed but mixing colors is another form of adding "layers" . Keep this in mind .
I have paired this with charcoal grey leggings from JCPenney .
That is my favorite spot!

As for my accessories I kept it cozy! My hold plated necklace and grey wool infinity scarf are both from H&M.
Of course I can't forget my new babies my gold and white loafers from Charlette Russe.com!
That's another one of my favorite places to go they always shave a fabulous shoe sale at least once a month so be sure to check them out on a regular!

Weekends in Loafers

Fall is here!
What better way to start the season off then by sharing my new favorite fall pieces!
Bloggers and street style lovers alike have been loving penny loafers! 
I just love this classic old school comfort feel! 
I decided to join the crew and get a pair myself. I will let you in on a secret though.
I gratuated from private school and penny loafers were the shoe of choice for the uniform and I hated them!
How ironic that now years later when they are fashionable I LOVE them!
My mother use to tell me never say never this was one of those times for real.
These loafers I bought from Charolette Russe.
I will say that for shoes I am a big fan of their online collection. In store I never find anything I like, but go to the website and order a pair that will turn heads !
I bought a pair of black loafers with the white sole because working in the beauty industry black is the standard uniform all day everyday.
The gold ones I bought for the diva side of me because I love to have some sparkle. Having a bright color or metallic shoe gives your wardrobe a hunt of surprise so keep that in mind when out shopping.
These shoes are comfortable and stylish for any fashionista and on the weekends while running around these are a definite must!
Loafers have a certain elegance that dresses any look up which is why I love them , so be sure to grab you a pair!

And I Get Dressed

I always look forward to a fabulous day out and of course, my favorite part of preparing for the day is getting dressed and putting my best foot forward.
This OOTD is a simply chic fashion statement that you should try this summer.
Today I have on o fabulous one sleeve color block dress from JCPenney .
Bright colors are an all time favorite during this season so this one if a kind piece I just had to embrace it.
As for my shoes I went with a nude and orange ankle strap shoes from Nine West.
These shoes are an all time classic with a fantastic splash, so of course I need them in my wardrobe.
With my jewels this time around I kept it simple and went with a gold plated necklacefrom H&M.
This look is one of my favorites because it's just sassy and bold!
A night out on the town or a brunch with the ladies will do thus dress justice.
I hope this look can inspire you and change your mind about bold colors! Don't be afraid to try , in fashion most times I go with the popular saying " Darling be Daring".

The Easter Dress Showdown***

Just like many others this week I am really preparing for Holy Week and Easter Sunday.
I thought why not share my fashion  journey with you. 
On my shopping trips I have come across some beautiful pieces and also some upcoming trends you should try!
This season has raised plenty of new trends but by far two stand out more than ever!
1. Knee length - Most people would think that this length for a dress or skirt is a bit old fashioned , but on the contrary it is very fashion forward.
2. Floral- I think since we have had a freezing winter , florals are beginning to push us toward spring.
Well I have narrowed my choices down to four very different styles.
