And I Get Dressed

I always look forward to a fabulous day out and of course, my favorite part of preparing for the day is getting dressed and putting my best foot forward.
This OOTD is a simply chic fashion statement that you should try this summer.
Today I have on o fabulous one sleeve color block dress from JCPenney .
Bright colors are an all time favorite during this season so this one if a kind piece I just had to embrace it.
As for my shoes I went with a nude and orange ankle strap shoes from Nine West.
These shoes are an all time classic with a fantastic splash, so of course I need them in my wardrobe.
With my jewels this time around I kept it simple and went with a gold plated necklacefrom H&M.
This look is one of my favorites because it's just sassy and bold!
A night out on the town or a brunch with the ladies will do thus dress justice.
I hope this look can inspire you and change your mind about bold colors! Don't be afraid to try , in fashion most times I go with the popular saying " Darling be Daring".

Torn Denim with class***

As the weather is heating up, fashion and style is beginning to sizzle as well!
This OOTD is a simply chic look with an edge that I just had to share with you all.

Torn jeans have been making a splash on the street style scene since early 2014. It's popularity is continuing to spread since women have realized that they aren't just for the rock stars and rebels.
Here I am going to show you just how to make torn jeans classy!

As seen here I am wearing some torn jeans that were a DIY project from Old Navy! I loved the idea of torn jeans but I wanted to be able to place were the slits should go. You can do this simple project too I will create a seperate post for it!

I love torn jeans because they are rebellious and fun but I love that I can dress it up as well to show that I'm still classy!
I also paired this with a geometric pattern V-neck black and white top from Butlington Coat Factory. This top is very light weight which is perfect for the warmer weather ahead of us.

More importantly it's patterned which is such a big trend now that you need to get as much pasterned pieces that you can get.

I also grabbed my all black tuxedo blazer from Loft just to add that extra touch of class.

Classic looks are always a plus when you kick it up with some accessories. I have a silver and black scale plated necklace. You can find similar at ALDO.
As for my shoes I have on black suede stilettos from Prima Donna.

This outfit has become one of my favorites slowly but surely! You can wear this for a Girls night out or a date night with someone special. It's casual yet chic and there is nothing better then functional fashion as I like to say!

The Easter Dress Showdown***

Just like many others this week I am really preparing for Holy Week and Easter Sunday.
I thought why not share my fashion  journey with you.
On my shopping trips I have come across some beautiful pieces and also some upcoming trends you should try!
This season has raised plenty of new trends but by far two stand out more than ever!
1. Knee length - Most people would think that this length for a dress or skirt is a bit old fashioned , but on the contrary it is very fashion forward.
2. Floral- I think since we have had a freezing winter , florals are beginning to push us toward spring.
Well I have narrowed my choices down to four very different styles.
Guess which one I will choose for Easter Sunday?
Leave your comments and tell me which one to pick.
Without further delay here are the contenders ......
1.

2.

3.

4.

And so the race is on!

Which dress will win!!!

Rich & Warm ***

Starting spring has never been more interesting ! These first few days of spring for New Yorkers' brought some extra snow, but  that cannot dictate my fashion  choices!
Today I have an outfit that just screams warmth with a simply chic style.
Here I am seen wearing a comfortable  burgundy V-neck long sleeve shirt. I love simple plain rich color shirts because we all need some basics! Sometimes when you want to wear a color block look you  need solid bright shirts that can create a clean palette to play with!
You can find similar looks at Target !
I have paired this with a simple rustic orange pencil skirt by Worthington from JCPenney.
I love this skirt because it is all about comfort and style that works well with rich or cool colors.
As for my accessories I have on a gold and black plated medallion necklace.
You can find similar at Forever 21.
My shoes are rustic orange, grey, and burgundy . I love the unusual texture of these shoes because they are a definite eye catcher, which for a diva is what you want.
This outfit is a simply chic look that has slowly become one oft favorites.
You can wear this for a day event or lunch with the ladies!

I hope this OOTD has inspired you for your next look!
