Black Tie Affair

About this weekend! Well I will say this, it was nothing short of exceptional. With an extravagant occassion to attend of course the outfit had to rise to the occassion.

This time around my fashion statement had to to be up to par for this black tie event.

Sunday arrived and I had to make sure the fashionista didn't disappoint!

As I prepared for the event, it took a good amount of time but I made it happen.

Here I was channeling my inner Beyonce with this number.

My black lace an nude dress was from Burlington Coat Factory.( Burlington Coat Factory)

I know this may come as a shock to you but, yes they do sell gowns as well!

This dress was Black Tie Affair ready and that's exactly the look I was going for. You would be surprised to know that this dress was nothing short of comfortable. It has beautiful detail all throughout the

sleeves of this gown and a fabulous cut out in the back.

You can never beat classy and sexy as a combination.

I know it's hard to find a gown that's completely comfy and elegant but somehow I managed to find that happy medium.

To accessorize I kept things simple and elegant as always! My shoes were black cascading levels by Nine West. ( Nine West )

As for jewelry I only added some classy sleek black drop earrings from Forever 21.(Forever21)

This entire look came together effortlessly and I couldn't be happier with the way that I looked.

Nothing could out do the radiance from my cousin Kheila S. The blushing bride!

Congratulations to you and Jermaine.

I pray you both have a successful and beautiful marriage!

Of course being around family you see how much beauty could be in family lineage!

I had to be kicking it with my Twin!

I can't leave out my little mini me HunnieB!

I hope my look would encourage your next high class occasion outfit!

L'Oreal Obsession

I am a complete and all around fashionista, street style and beauty lover so of course I have to dedicate a post of my latest obsession.

As a young and trendy fashion blogger I am always on the lookout for great products that are trending and to bring them to the forefront of your attention.

I wouldn't endorse a product or company to you that I personally wouldn't use myself, with that being said today I want to share my experience with you on my new obsession.

Currently I have been slowly transitioning a few of my products for more cost effective alternatives.

Sometimes things can be a little tight on your budget or time and you may not be able to get your hands on the high end brands that you love.

Lately, I have been venturing out to see which brand can you use to get a similar effect as the luxury commercial brand without the price tag.

Today I am excited to say I have found my happy medium!

I am becoming obsessed with L'Oreal Cosmetics !

At the moment I am becoming a firm believer in their True Match ( True Match Foundation) foundation and cover up. This foundation gives good coverage and appears well in daylight and photos.

As for mascara I am loving the

Voluminous Million Lashes (Voluminous Lashes Mascara).This mascara is giving my natural eyelashes the same effect as single lashes would. This is a great alternative to getting lashes put on for one night.

My newest obsession to add to the collection is the L'Oreal 24HR Lacquer Intense Gel Eyeliner

(24 HR Gel Liner).

These are some basic tools every diva should have in a small makeup kit to carry throughout the day. These are good cost effective alternatives you can use that can help anyone achieve a stunning face in a matter of moments. Especially for the woman on the go doing a quick face to step out for the day!

I am so glad that I could share my exciting experience with you today. Hopefully I can encourage you to go out and buy these products they are worth the investment and will have you looking radiant all day!

According to every fashionista it's all about personal style.

I am about to let you in on one of my new favorite looks which incorporates my personal style to the fullest!

When you are about to step out for a night on the town you must always be a head turner! With this look I expect nothing less.

The main goal is to have all eyes on you and make sure that you always contain that little bit of mystery at the same time!

Without further delay here is the fierce look toy have been waiting for!

Here I wanted to look sexy and bring out my fierce side.

In order to do that you need to have something that screams flawless and this absolutely did the trick.

Here I have on the the black shirt dress from Tick Tock Boutique . During this summer this trend is everywhere and I know why! This top is simple and comfortable but ultimately sexy with the side splits that are up to the bra strap! This is a definite head turner if you want that wow factor!

I decided to pair this blouse with some floral leggings from JCPenney. Every season they always have the most amazing leggings in stock!

These are again a comfortable style choice. This pattern really pops because of the simplicity in the blouse, always keep in mind that with each outfit there needs to be a balance.

To add some accessories I have on some dark cat eye shades from Essence Street Style Festival.

I also added my heavy plated hold chain statement necklace for some drama.

As for a bag, I grabbed my black and gold played clutch from H&M. They have cute and simple bags and clutches at great prices!

To top it off I wore my black and gold stilettos from Prima Donna.

This look is definitely a sexy head turner you could wear on date night to keep things fierce.

It is a risky, sassy, and tasteful look all while showing just a tiny bit of skin.

As for my makeup I just absolutely adore L'Oreal Cosmetics True Match Foundation and Perennial Pink Lipstick .

These pieces are definitely my go to for my everyday and my out for the night looks. Be sure to grab these products from your nearest CVS or Walgreen's.

Sweet & Chic

As I wind down from all the excitement of fashion week, I have to make sure that my everyday life remains in high fashion!

Even as the seasons are beginning to shift I should be looking toward the upcoming fall trends.

Before that happens I do want to take advantage of the few warm days that are left!

I absoluetely love the outfit that I am about to share and I hope it gives you some inspiration for your next look!

Without further delay here is what you all have been waiting for........

You all are pretty aware of how much I love pencil skirts! Of course whenever I can wear one, you know that I am.

Here I have on my water color high waist pencil skirt from Burlington Coat Factory. This skirt was an absolute great find because it's made of spandex and cotton.

This means it gives stretch for the curvy ladies like myself and it's completely comfortable. Most pencil skirts are tight and almost suffocate you. This is not one of them, so do make a point to grab one before they are sold out!

I paired this skirt with a beautiful electric blue blouse from Marshall's.

I love this piece because it is extremely versatile and great for all year round. It's important to have pieces like this in your wardrobe because they are versatile which allows you to add texture and patterns to layer this piece.

As for accessories, I always try to keep it simple. Here I have on a simple three layer gold rope chain from Avon.

Their jewelry has been turning heads for as long as I can remember so why should get stop now!

Whenever someone gives you a book to order from be sure to look through it!

This outfit would be nothing without the bag and shoes! These fabulous electric blue ankle strap stilettos with gold from running down the back is from Rainbow. I know it seems a bit unconventional but I always check in the most unusual places to find the cutest things.

One oy favorite go to pieces my nude New York & Comoany clutch.

This complete look from head to toe is a sure head turner.

I want this look to inspire the classy divas to wear something chic and elegant for your everyday tasks.

I always say you never know who you might meet in the street! Always be prepared for the unexpected.

Korto Momolu Show

Today is just another day in the fabulous life of a fashion blogger during New York Fashion Week and as for today it's all about Korto Momolu.

During this show I was working hard behind the scenes but of course I had the opportunity catch some of the action.

Here I had to indulge in all black but of course I had to be fashionable about that!

Today I had on a Shea Moisture shirt and a black floral mesh skirt. I paired this look with a gold plated necklace from Macy's.

My beautiful orange drop earrings were from a vintage boutique.

The most important thing about today was the fashion that was floating down the runway!

Here is the low down....,,,,,,

This Spring line was full of beautiful and versatile silhouettes that varied with each look.

The fabrics came to life with fun textures that were just divine to see!

Fabrics made each individual outfit come alive with character which I love.

I am a true fan of vibrant colors and so needless to say my favorite looks just happen to be a vibrant neon orange with smooth creme touches.

As for the accessories, they were ones to envy. Heavy metal statement pieces graced the necks of the models!

The jewels added flare in a rustic chic way which can be appreciated as it went hand in hand with the designs.

The handbags were a fabulous touch of elegance.

This show was nothing short of amazing and was a complete full house!

The press was every where to be seen so I know everyone will be talking about this show!

I enjoyed this amazing experience and I would like to thank everyone who had a part to play in it!

Korto Momolu Spring 2015 line is nothing short of exquisite and I'm pretty sure everyone will be looking to get their hands on these pieces !

This was An amazing show, I cannot wait until next year !

Essence Street Style Block Party!

What beautiful weather on the most perfect day to hold a block party. In a cute corner in Brooklyn the party was live with music and fashion!

I'm just saying, what more can a fashionista ask for. The mood was set a blaze with vibes of excitment and culture which was a fabulous way to start your afternoon. I decided to wear a black lace body suit from Rainbow. This was a last minute quick find, but none the less it was fabulous for the occassion.

I saw my "body suit twin" while walking through the crowd!

This stylish fashionista paired hers with some hot red heels.

I paired it with my absolute favorite torn boyfriend jeans from Old Navy. These were my idea if a DIY project. These were a great street style look for this Essence Street Style Block Party!
